Eligibility for Faculty Housing

The eligibility criteria for residency in the IGC Faculty Housing are as follows:

• The President of each campus
• A foreign national with no permanent residence in South Korea
• A full-time professor exclusively dedicated to a department approved by the Minister of Education for establishment

For holders of a permanent residency visa or a spouse visa, faculty housing eligibility is limited to those verified by the university as not having a permanent residence in South Korea.

Permission to Use

Affiliated university personnel requesting residence in faculty housing are required to prepare the following documents and submit them to the Foundation in the form of an official letter:

• Appointment contract - one copy issued by the affiliated university
• A copy of a passport or an alien registration card
• A copy of the visa (E1, F4, etc.)
• Proof of family ties - various official documents proving family ties in the case of family co-residence

• Eviction Measures, etc.
  1. Occupants who lose their eligibility must vacate the apartment no later than the end of the month in which their eligibility is terminated.
  2. Occupants who are more than two months in arrears on the apartment usage fee will be subject to eviction. Prior to eviction, all outstanding payments must be fully settled.
  3. Failure to comply with the eviction requirements outlined in Clauses 1 and 2 may result in legal action in accordance with relevant laws. The occupant and/or the affiliated university shall bear full responsibility for any civil or criminal liabilities arising from such non-compliance.
